Thoughtfully created for ages 7 and up, these ruby stud earrings are designed to be gentle on sensitive ears. Each lab-created ruby is enhanced through heat treatment to achieve its rich red color and is carefully set in gold vermeil over sterling silver. As with many enhanced gemstones, color may gradually fade over time depending on wear and care.

Materials
Sterling Silver
Sterling silver comprises 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, primarily copper. It is marked “925” or “S925,” signifying its high silver content. Affordable and 100% recyclable when unplated.
Vermeil
Vermeil is sterling silver coated with a thick layer of gold (minimum 2.5 microns, 10K or higher). Due to its thicker gold layer, it offers a more durable golden color and may be better tolerated by sensitive skin, though reactions are still possible.
14K Gold
14K gold comprises 58.3% pure gold and 41.7% alloy metals. It is commonly stamped as “14K” to indicate its composition. Durable for everyday wear, recyclable, and often well-tolerated, though sensitivities may still occur.
