Safety Information
- Certified Safe: Our jewelry meets all applicable safety standards, including CPSIA, ASTM F2923-20, and FHSA requirements.
- Choking Hazard: Jewelry is not a toy. To ensure safety, always supervise children when wearing jewelry, and remind them to wear it only—not play with or put it in their mouths. Not suitable for children under 3 due to small parts.
Sustainability Practices
As a business, we aim to minimize our environmental footprint and make greener choices wherever possible. A few of our efforts to support this, include:
- Ethically Sourced Manufacturing: We work with trusted manufacturing partners who share our values and meet rigorous standards for responsible practices. Many jewelry pieces are crafted by certified Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) members.
- Sustainable Packaging: Most of our packaging materials are sourced from suppliers using FSC-certified paper, ensuring responsible forest management.
While we strive to make every element of our process environmentally friendly, we acknowledge room for improvement. Sustainability is a journey, and we’re committed to continually seeking better, greener solutions. This ethos guides every decision we make.
Hypoallergenic & Metal Allergy
Our materials have been carefully selected according to industry standards, which believe that precious metals such as Sterling Silver, Gold 14K, and Vermeil are hypoallergenic options.
We recommend that customers immediately stop using the jewelry if any of the following reactions arise and seek professional help when necessary. Some of the symptoms to be aware of are the following1:
- Rash or bumps on the skin
- Itching, which may be severe
- Redness or changes in skin color
- Dry patches of skin that may resemble a burn
- Blisters and draining fluid in severe cases
Here are a few of our suggestions to help avoid reactions while using jewelry:
- The higher gold karat usually requires fewer alloys, a mix of different metals, which often cause allergic reactions in sensitive skin. Gold 14K jewelry is usually what the industry recommends starting with, especially with customers with higher metal sensitivity.
- It is recommended not to use jewelry continuously and to have a good habit of storing it away to avoid interacting with water or sweat.
- Due to its structure, the butterfly post is one option that we choose in our collection for children because it may reduce debris sticking to the posts and is easier to clean. The tips of jewelry with butterfly posts are often less sharp, too, to help children have a less painful experience while using earrings.
- We recommend giving a little gap between the earrings and the skin to help the jewelry have less traction to the sensitive ear and avoid any tightness that can trigger any redness or unnecessary infection.

Materials
Sterling Silver
What is it?
Sterling silver is composed of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, primarily copper. It is marked with “925” or “S925”, signifying its high silver content.
Pros:
✓ Hypoallergenic for most skin types, suitable for everyday wear
✓ Affordable yet high-quality
✓ 100% recyclable when unplated
Cons:
✗ Prone to tarnishing over time (requires regular care)
✗ Can scratch more easily than harder metals
✗ May cause mild reactions in those with extreme metal sensitivities due to its alloy content.
Vermeil
What is it?
Vermeil is sterling silver coated with a thick layer of gold (minimum 2.5 microns, 10K or higher), offering the look of solid gold at a more accessible price point. Unlike standard gold-plated jewelry, vermeil contains a thicker gold layer, making it more durable.
Pros:
✓ Looks and feels like solid gold
✓ Thicker gold layer than standard gold-plated jewelry, improving durability
✓ More hypoallergenic than typical gold-plated pieces
Cons:
✗ Gold layer may wear over time with frequent exposure to water, sweat, or chemicals
✗ The underlying sterling silver may still trigger reactions in those with highly sensitive skin
✗ Not recyclable due to gold plating
14K Gold
What is it?
14K gold consists of 58.3% pure gold and 41.7% alloy metals, balancing beauty, durability, and affordability. It is commonly stamped as “14K” to indicate its composition.
Pros:
✓ Strong enough for everyday wear
✓ Classic gold tone with a subtle, elegant shine
✓ Recyclable and long-lasting
✓ More hypoallergenic than lower-karat gold options
Cons:
✗ Higher price point compared to sterling silver or vermeil
✗ Can still scratch or dent, though it is more durable than higher-karat gold
